Peter Griffin: Tornadoes don’t indicate extreme weather is increasing – NZ Herald.
Old news alert (6 Dec) – I’m catching up.
This is good news. Nobody wants tornadoes to increase. Of course, there are other indications that extreme weather will increase – is perhaps already increasing – so please don’t stop worrying.
But it’s disappointing to see the Herald recycling posts from SciBlogs.

Interesting reading the first few comments on that article that appear to be from the great brainwashed public who believe the scriptures of Lord Gore rather than the actual scientific evidence. Heck, Peter Griffin isn’t even a sceptic!
Yes, I see what you mean. They mock Griffin on the grounds of his perceived beliefs, though he’s speaking the truth, and his beliefs are in fact aligned with their own! How quick they are to conflate, first, tornadoes with extreme weather (in the face of the science) and then the weather with our wicked society. There are weird results when people go about unthinking.
Well, as we know, scientists have shown that 50% of the population are of below average intelligence, so what can one expect?
As much as 50%? You must be joking. How can there be that many under-average people walking around? The thought’s incredible. You’re in denial!
This is blasphemy, surely everyone knows that tornadoes are part of the increase in extreme weather, don’t they?
